Help Youth Journalism International!

Hello darlings!

Youth Journalism International needs support right here at Global Giving!

I was a part of Youth Journalism International when I was 17-19. When I was writing for them, I had my articles published in the Bristol Press (which was where they started from). It's run by possibly the nicest people on earth, Jackie and Steve (wife/husband journalists) from Connecticut! After 3 years of only being able to talk to them by phone, I finally paid them a visit in December 2009 when I was on exchange, right after Christmas!

It's an amazing organization bringing youth writers/journalists from ALL OVER the world together. (it's also where I met my favourites, Teague and Stefan!)

SO. The reason why I'm writing this is because they are trying to earn a permanent spot on Global Giving. What Global Giving does is facilitate the fund-raising needs of many non-profit organizations, but due to the overwhelming number of such organizations, organizations which are able to complete their Open Challenge ie. raise $4000 from 50 individual donors in a month, will get to become long-term members. (for more information, visit their website linked above)

As of now, Youth Journalism International has managed to raise US$3664 from 52 donors! They just need that last stretch of $336! The lowest contribution you can give is $12 (equivalent to only S$15!) and even this would help!

Even if you can't contribute monetarily, that's no worry, but you can help them earn an extra $300 from Global Giving to top up the shortfall! To do this, they need to garner 300 "Shares on FB". So, if you can visit the weblink above, and then click on the button which says "Share on FB", YOU'RE A STAR! Right now, they have 228 Shares, so they only need another 72 shares, which is POSSIBLE if you can spare 30 seconds of your time!

They only have 12 days left! Do this to help youth around the world write and raise awareness about the things that matter!
